目前对现代服务业的分类研究主要是基于实用性考虑，依据国家统计标准、以定性分析方法和按经验进行分类，这对于深入研究现代服务业的产业发展情况和内部结构关系尚存欠缺。本文以学术研究的立场，从产业内部结构发展的角度，在进一步明确现代服务业的内涵、特征的基础上，选取反映现代服务业发展情况的数量指标，运用聚类分析的方法对现代服务业的分类进行定量研究，希望能为进一步的现代服务业理论研究提供参考。

At present, the classification of modern service industry is for the purpose of statistic application .The related studies usually base on the existing statistical standards and qualitative analysis method to classify the modern service in -dustry , which is still deficient for the in -depth study of development situation and the internal structure of modern serv-ice industry .In this paper , we stand on an academic research position , and from the internal industrial structure devel-opment point of view to classify the modern service industry .Firstly, we further clarify the connotation and the character of the modern service industry;then we select quantitative indicators which reflect the developing situation and characters of modern service industry and use cluster analysis method to carry out quantitative analysis in order to provide reference for further theoretical studies of the modern service industry .
