西方对科技异化的批判已形成危险的思维定势：把科技等同于工具理性本身，不断放大科技活动的负面效应，甚至否定科技本身。这种“等同”与“否定”，丧失了扬弃科技异化的实践根基。必须用辩证实践的眼光审视科技，把握扬弃科技异化的历史唯物主义路径。当代中国既要大力发展科技，又要把以人为本作为发展的核心立场，防范科技被既得利益集团操纵成工具理性。

Modern criticism of science and technology has formed dangerous thinking： putting science and technology equal to tool rationality, enlarging the negative effect of science and technology activities constantly and so as to deny the identity of science and technology. This kind of ＂equivalence＂ and ＂negation＂ lost the practical foundations to sublate the alienation of science and technology. So we should hold the method of historical materialism to sublate the alienation of science and technology with the help of dialectics. We should strive to develop the science and technology with the central standpoint of taking people first to keep away the science and technology, and become the tool rationality by vested interest group.
