In recent years, harmless disposal of dead livestock carcasses has become an important environmental problem in building ＂beautiful China＂. Based on summarizing the main methods of animal carcass disposal in China, and analyzing the advanced experiences of the disposal of animal bodies in developed countries, the paper suggests some advices including promoting the policy system of financial support, developing the research on biological fermentation and stren~thenin~ the extension of resource utilization technology of animal waste carcasses.
