隐喻作为一种语言现象和认知现象,在日常生活中无处不在,英、汉语中都存在着大量与食物有关的隐喻性语言.以隐喻理论为基础,结合实例对比分析英汉食物隐喻异同,有助于深化对隐喻的认识、了解不同民族的语言文化内涵以及更好地促进跨文化交流.

As a kind of human linguistic and cognitive phenomenon, metaphor can be seen every-where in our daily life. There are abundant food metaphors both in English and Chinese.
