邵雍的先天易学究其源可能与《周易参同契》、陈抟的易图有关。邵雍继承了道教丹道关于天道自然说理论的合理内核,并将之与儒家重社会、人事的特点相结合,构筑了一个全新的天人之学理论体系。但邵雍的先天易学、先天图中也承载有道教丹道修炼思想的重要内容,它为隋唐道教外丹学向宋元内丹学的过渡作了理论的铺垫,起到了承上启下的历史作用。

The origin of Shao Yong' s { 1011-1077 ) "Former Heaven" Yi learning might be related to the Zhouyi can tong qi [Token for the Agreement of the Three According to the Zhou Changes } and Chen Tuan' s ( 871-989) diagrams of the Changes. Shao absorbed the reasonable core of the cosmogony in Daoist alchemy refinery theory and takes the character of emphasizing society and human af- fairs in Confucianism into account, constructing an all new theoretic system connecting heaven and humanity. But Shao' s 'j Former Heaven~J Yi learning and diagrams also carry Daoist alchemy refinery theory, which plays a theoretically foundational role in the transformation from the external alchemy refinery theory prevalent in the Sui-Tang ( 581-907} to the internal alchemy refinery theory formed in the Song-Yuan (960-1368) period.
