中国的改革开放和城市化进程，促进了少数民族人口流动。随着城市少数民族人口迅速增加，在城市事关少数民族人口事件的发生频率增多，城市民族工作面临着许多新情况、新问题。本文通过梳理城市少数民族人口发展及城市居民多民族化现象，指出城市民族问题日趋复杂多样，强调了加强城市民族工作的重要性与必要性。

The process of reform and opening to the outside world as well as urbanization in China spurred the population mobility of ethnic groups. The rapid increase of ethnic population in urban areas leads to the high frequency of incidents related to minority groups.
