文章结合统计数据和实地调研资料，从环境、经济和社会等方面，分析了林业建设对湘西自治州山区发展的贡献。研究发现，湘西林业建设对山区的发展做出了重要贡献，生态环境得到改善，森林旅游的发展带动了经济快速增长，农民得到更多的就业机会并且增加了家庭收入。最后，对如何调动农民经营林地的积极性、开发林地资源进行了讨论，以期更充分地利用山区林业建设的成果。

Based on the statistical data and field investigation data, from the aspects of environment, economy and society, the contribution of forestry construction in Xiang Xi autonomous prefecture was analyzed. The study found that forestry construction has made great contribution to the development of the mountainous areas, ecologi- cal environment has been improved, economic growth was driven by the development of forest tourism, farmers gained more job opportunities and the family income was increased. Finally, the paper discusses about how to arouse the enthusiasm of farmers management of woodland, and how to utilize forest resources, which to point to more fully use the achievements of forestry construction in mountainous area ofXiang Xi.
