21世纪的美英文坛诞生了一种独特的文学类型——“9·11文学”.“9·11文学”用“反叙事”的方式对盛行的官方叙事与民间纪实叙事作出反拨,具有极为重要的审美内涵与文化价值,但这些“反叙事”在文学表现方式上并未出现本质性的变化,因此尚难断言“9·11文学”代表了新世纪关英文学的审美转向.中国学界目前对“9·11文学”的研究存在明显不足,未来的研究需要厘清总体思路,但不应脱离当代国际政治现实的大背景、大语境,不能罔顾自身的文化身份、价值立场与审美需求,从而忽视文学的审美意识形态属性.

The 9/11 literature has emerged as a new and particular genre in Anglo-American literature for a decade in the twenty-first century. As ＂the counter-narratives,＂ it is a counter movement to the overwhelming popularity of the official narratives and the mass media reportage about the 9/11 attack. Despite its aesthetic and cultural significance, the 9/11 literature is not essentially different for the previous literary works, and it is still hard to say that it represents an aesthetic turn in the new millennium. In the critical studies of this new genre, the Chinese scholars should attempt to define a general critical strategy, and in the mean time not to overlook the ideologicality inherent in aesthetics. We should not detach ourselves from the greater context of the international political reality, or disregard the different cultural identities, individual values and aesthetic needs.
