鞶囊，简称鞶．最早出现于周代．男女均可佩戴。一般附于腰带，悬于腰际，以盛手巾。周代男女所用材料不同，男用鞶革．女用缯帛。周代鞶囊种类较少．用途单一．仅作为盛放手巾之用。汉至唐代．见于记载的鞶囊种类逐渐增多，出现了兽头鞶囊、虎头鞶囊、龙头鞶囊、兽爪鞶。盛装印绶或绶带，故又称鞶囊．以别身份。
반낭，간칭반．최조출현우주대．남녀균가패대。일반부우요대，현우요제，이성수건。주대남녀소용재료불동，남용반혁．녀용증백。주대반낭충류교소．용도단일．부작위성방수건지용。한지당대．견우기재적반낭충류축점증다，출현료수두반낭、호두반낭、룡두반낭、수조반。성장인수혹수대，고우칭반낭．이별신빈。
This paper summarized the materials ofpannang （a kind of pouch carried as adornment） seen in the ancient burials of all of the periods, and classified them into five types by shape, which are the roughly square or round, the horse hoof-shaped, the oval with linked curve-shaped lid, the cylindrical and the trumpet-shaped, based on which and referring to the historic literature, this paper studied the origin and symbolic meaning of the pannang; it gives the conclusion that the habit of wearing pannang started in the Zhou Dynasty and the rule of wearing pannang was established in the Han Dynasty and ended in the Liao Dynasty.During this long period, the shapes, colors, decorative patterns, materials and wearing positions of the pannang were continuing to change, and their wearers＇ statuses were also diversifying.
