随着中国国际化、市场化、城市化。工业化与信息化的日益推进，城市民族工作面临新的形势，遭遇新的挑战。新形势下，必须创新中国的城市民族工作：以中国梦引领城市民族工作，增强各族群众公民认同；以法治化保障城市民族工作，保证城市民族工作的规范性与稳定性；以城镇化推动城市民族工作，实现城乡各民族的共同繁荣；以信息化服务城市民族工作，提升城市民族治理能力；以社会化落实城市民族工作，实现少数民族城市融入。因地制宜积极探索新时期城市民族工作模式，为实现党的十八大提出的“中国特色新型工业化、信息化、城镇化、农业现代化”奠定基础。

With the steady advancement of internationalization, marketization, urbanization, industrialization and informationization, urban ethnic work laces new situations and challenges. Thus, it is necessary to improve urban ethnic work of China under the guidance of the Chinese Dream, strengthen the citizen＇s identification among all ethnic groups, guarantee the normalization and stability of urban ethnic work through legalization and urbanization while realizing the shared prosperity for all ethnic groups, provide good information services, enhance the capability of urban ethnic governance through socialization and integrate the minority members into cities. The a- doption of some workable models of urban ethnic work in the new period helps lay the foundation for ＂the new industrialization, infor- mationization, urbanization, agricultural modernization with Chinese characteristics＂ put forward at the 18th National Congress of CPC.
