2013年海外华人在政治与经济领域都有突出的表现。本文考察了2013年部分国家华人的参政行为和全球华人在经济领域遭遇的变化与挑战。在政治领域，华人在2013年马来西亚第13届选举中引发了一场政治海啸，吸引了全世界的目光。海外华人参政文化的形成是一个长期的过程，海外华人必须意识到，只有拥有政治影响力才能切实保障华人自身的正当利益。在经济领域，华人投资重心正向中国大陆西部地区转移，海外华人高科技企业在当地国家逐渐增加突破了华人传统的从业范围。同时华商应遵守合法经营的原则，努力融入当地社会，积极参与当地事务。

Overseas Chinese have achieved a great accomplishment in both political and economic sphere in 2013. This paper investigates the changes and challenges between the Overseas Chinese political participation and economy. In 2013, Malaysian Chinese caused a political ＂tsunami＂ by supporting the opposite party which attracted the world＇s attention. The cultivation of the political participation culture among the Overseas Chinese is a long-term process, so it＇s important for Overseas Chinese to realize that only by pursuing the political influence in the resident country, can they effectively protect their civil right. Overseas Chinese investment has turned to regions in the aest of China. The Overseas Chinese high-tech enterprises have gradually increased in local countries in 2013. Overseas Chinese busi- nessmen should obey the trade rules of the resident countries and seek to integrate into the local society.
