今本《元朝秘史》刊刻于明初洪武年间，而它的史源则是蒙古帝国时期开始陆续修纂的内廷秘籍，《元史》上称之为《脱卜赤颜》、《蒙古脱卜赤颜》等。以往的《元朝秘史》文献版本研究主要集中在今本的研究上，对《脱卜赤颜》的纂写、流传颇有忽略。本文梳理了元代学者汉文著述中的相关记载，并参核藏文著述，考述《脱卜赤颜》与国史、实录之关系，并得出如下结论：《脱卜赤颜》并非有一种定本，元廷在续修该书时对原文颇有修改，并且形成了不同的抄本，罗藏丹津所持抄本仅是其中的一种，蔡巴·贡嘎多杰所见《脱卜赤颜》，则是经过修订、续修的另一种抄本。

The present The Secret History of the Yuan Dynasty was printed in Hongwu years of the early Ming Dynasty, but its historical origin came from the inner court secret scriptures successively compiled in the period of Mongolia Empire, named as Tobchiyuan and Mongolia Tobchiyuan in History of Yuan. Early studies on it were focused on the present version, while ignoring the writing and spreading of Tobchiyuan. This paper has teased out the related records in Chinese writings by Yuan scholars and made researches into the relation between Tobchiyuan, the history of the nation and memoirs by taking Tibetan writings as references. A conclusion has been drawn that there were several versions of Tobchiyuan as a result of revising the original version by the Yuan court. One of the versions was the hand-copy possessed by Blo Bzang Bstan ＇dzin and the version seen by Tsalpa Kunga Dorje was another copy of revision.
