本文利用日本与30个伙伴国（地区）1998—2010年的双边贸易数据，通过空间面板模型，实证考察了日本的进出口贸易结构和贸易顺差对日元国际地位的直接影响及其空间溢出效应。结果表明，以中间品出口为代表的差异化产品出口比重的增加有助于提高日元国际地位；而进口品结构不合理是导致日元国际化困境更为重要的原因。伙伴国间的贸易竞争关系使进、出口品结构对日元的使用存在与直接影响相反的空间溢出效应，贸易顺差则无显著影响。
본문이용일본여30개화반국（지구）1998—2010년적쌍변무역수거，통과공간면판모형，실증고찰료일본적진출구무역결구화무역순차대일원국제지위적직접영향급기공간일출효응。결과표명，이중간품출구위대표적차이화산품출구비중적증가유조우제고일원국제지위；이진구품결구불합리시도치일원국제화곤경경위중요적원인。화반국간적무역경쟁관계사진、출구품결구대일원적사용존재여직접영향상반적공간일출효응，무역순차칙무현저영향。
By using the bilateral trade data between Japan and 30 partners in 1998-2010, this paper construc- ted a spatial panel data model to analyze the effect of bilateral trade structure and trade surplus on yen internation- alization. We find that the increase of export in intermediate goods can promote the use of yen. Meanwhile, the import structure of Japan is one of the main reasons for difficulties in yen internationalization. Because of the trade competition among countries, the spatial spillover of trade structure shows a reverse result relative to the di- rect effect. Besides, the empirical result shows insignificant effect of trade surplus on yen internationalization.
