The university alliance is a new path to achieve academic innovation and resource sharing in the American university. CIC, one of the best alliance organizations, has made great achievements in such aspects as the academic cooperation, inter-disciplinary development, and talent training. The value demands of CIC are knowledge sharing and knowledge innovation; and its operational characteristics are to take flat organizational structure and conversational governance mode, to build mutual involving multi-disciplinary collaboration platform, and to set up talent training based on resource sharing. The keys to its success are establishing the good relationship of trust and the pursuit of shared benefits.
