衡水已于2012年和2013年成功举办了两届衡水湖国际马拉松赛，取得了良好的赛事成绩和办赛效果。衡水借助国际马拉松赛平台实现了力度空前的招商引资和项目建设；给衡水的旅游、餐饮、住宿、商贸、文化等第三产业带来了巨大的“井喷效应”；对促进衡水调整产业结构、扩大对外开放水平、实现经济社会更加健康发展都有积极意义。展示和充实了衡水文化，提升了城市建设和管理水平，向衡水社会传递了正能量。

Hengshui successfully hosted Hengshui Lake International Marathon in 2012 and 2013 and achieved very good results and effects. With the platform of International Marathon, Hengshui has invited unprecedented investment and projects, which has brought great“blowout”effects on the tertiary industry such as tourism, catering, accommodation, commerce and culture.
