本文在分析相关资料的基础上，对铜盨的原型与功能、形制的演变轨迹，以及铜盔的得名与礼仪性质等方面进行了探讨。认为铜盨主要是由西周早期的小型圆角方鼎衍生而来，同时吸收了铜盨的许多因素而成。铜盨滥觞于西周早期，诞生于中期前段，定型于西周晚期晚段；春秋早期铜盨逐渐走向衰落，到了春秋中期铜盈遂被历史淘汰。
本文在分析相關資料的基礎上，對銅盨的原型與功能、形製的縯變軌跡，以及銅盔的得名與禮儀性質等方麵進行瞭探討。認為銅盨主要是由西週早期的小型圓角方鼎衍生而來，同時吸收瞭銅盨的許多因素而成。銅盨濫觴于西週早期，誕生于中期前段，定型于西週晚期晚段；春鞦早期銅盨逐漸走嚮衰落，到瞭春鞦中期銅盈遂被歷史淘汰。

This article synthesizes the publications on bronze vesselxu and investigates its prototype, function, ty- pological development, and ritual meaning. The authors propose thatxu was originated from small round-comers fangding in the Early Westem Zhou period while absorbed certain elements ofbronzegui. The prototype ofxu appeared about the Early Western Zhou, while its initial form developed in the first half of the Middle Western Zhou.Xu finally flourished during the second half of the Late Western Zhou, but it witnessed a decline after the Early Spring and Auturraa period. By the Middle Spring and Autun~a period,xu congoletely went out of flavor.
