Abstract： This paper explored the impact of power of contractors in the performance of domestic construction projects using empirical analysis instrumenting ＂trust＂ as mediating variables. It conclude that contractor＇ s expert power and referent pow- er enhance owners＇ trust, the coercive power reduce owners＇ trust, information power, legitimate power, reward power have no significant effect on the owners＇ trust. Owners＇ trust has significant impact on construction project performance.
