The study of The Golden Lotus written by Han Nan is based on his own academic interests and the academia he situated in. His studies are with the features of ＂academic ontology＂ and ＂literary ontology＂. Started from discussing The Golden Lotus＇s statue and significance in China＇s ancient novel history,he conducted a series of fruitful exploration from the angles of the editions and the source of the materials. His study is featured of finely textual research of the literatures and the combination of theoretical thinking and historical concerns.
