语言相对论是一个多年来备受争议的话题。自上世纪90年代以来,一些研究者对语言相对论进行了重新评价。概念迁移假设从认知的角度深化并且用实证支持了这一理论。我国学者王初明教授提出的语境补缺假说从语境的角度也对语言相对论的研究提供了一个新视角。认识语言相对论、概念迁移理论和语境补缺假说的异同有助于对语言迁移的本质有所了解。

Linguistic Relativism has been a controversial issue for a long time. Since the 1990s,a group of researchers have reevaluated this hypothesis. With the deepening of research on conceptual transfer, some scholars have lent support to this theory with empirical evidence. Besides,The Contextual Compensation Hypothesis advanced by Professor Wang Churning has furnished a new perspective on Linguistic Relativism studies from the perspective of context. A good understanding of I.inguistic Relativism,conceptual transfer and Contextual Compensation Hypothesis is conducive to a good understanding of the nature of language transfer.
