本文围绕一篇规范的经验分析论文所需训练内容,考察了英美名校经济系的课程设置与实际训练。在“理论-方法-环境-写作”这个训练框架的背后,是一套“特征事实-形成假说-检验假说”波普尔科学范式。课程学习让学生拥有一套完备的知识体系,课堂内外的训练则让学生掌握从事科学研究的方法和技能。近年来,中国大学通过“走出去”和“引进来”策略以提高学生的经济学训练水平和科研能力,缩小与国外名校的差距。在重视建设完备课程体系的同时,也不可忽视更具操作性的实际训练和对学生的引导与激励。

This paper analyses the course design and training program according to a stand- ard empirical analysis literature through evaluation of practices in some world-famous univer- sities of the USA and UK. There is a Popper scientific paradigm, which is "stylized fact - hypothesis formation - hypothesis test", beneath the observed training framework of "theory - methodology - environment - writing" . Students can get a set of knowledge through class learning, while they obtain research skills and techniques by the practice out of class. In recent years, many Chinese universities have developed two strategies, the "visiting scholar program" and "international scholar recruitment", in order to improve the level of economics training and ability of research and to reduce the gap between Chinese and foreign universities. In such situation, we should pay attention to the training of practices and the induction and encouragement to students, as well as the reform for course design of economics.
