现代大学教育面临许多困境,其工具理性的思维导致培养了失去自然本性的“陌生人”.人类存在着共同的人性,人性教育历来是教育的核心,现代大学之道应回归到人性教育的轨道.从古典到现代,自由教育的宗旨是人性教育;通识教育是自由教育思想在现代大学教育的集中体现.我国现代大学通识教育的理想应致力于现代人主体性的启蒙,致力于生命意义的寻求.

The education instrumental rationality has in modem universities is facing many difficulties. The thinking mode of the led to the fact that the "strangers" , who have lost their natural being. There is the common humanity in the human beings, therefore humanistic education has always been the core of education, which implies that education of modem universities is supposed to go back to the track of the humanistic education. From classical to modem, liberal education has always taken the humanistic education as its aim so that the general education has embodied intensively the idea of liberal education in the education of modem universities. The ideal of the general education in modem universities should be committed to the enlightenment of modem subjectivity and the pursuit of life meaning.
