为了防止媒介审判，英国和美国均对媒体的司法新闻报道进行了限制。相比而言，英国采用的是一种直接限制措施，倾向于限制媒体对未决案件中当事人信息的披露、对案情的报道和庭审现场的录音摄像；美国采用的是一种间接限制措施，倾向于限制诉讼参与人发言和调整审判活动等，主要是通过限制潜在消息来源而对媒体报道进行限制。在英美，对媒体的这种报道限制是司法公开的例外，要受到严格的司法审查。

By contrast, British law is a direct restriction;it tends to limit the disclosure and the leak of unsettled law case and ban cameras and electronic coverage in courtrooms American law is an indirect restriction, it tends to limit the speech of participants in the proceedings and adjust trial activities, and it limits the media coverage mainly by restricting the potential news sources. The restrictions on the media coverage are the exception of judicial transparency and must be subjected to strict judicial scrutiny in Britain and America.
