Lon L.Fuller has clearly recognized the fact that different conceptions of law bring about his disagreement with legal positivists, their diverse views on the relationship between law and morality being the focus.It can be concluded that the controversy between them can be viewed as“the separation thesis” vs.“the connection thesis”, and the core is whether to recognize the logic“necessity” between the law and the morality.In fact, Fuller has provided a logical argument for this connection thesis.The law of internal morality, proposed by Fuller, attempts to overcome the weakness of the separation thesis by means of modal logic and formal logic, which is also an important theoretical tool for ethical Naturalists.Therefore, it is of vital importance for us to understand the law and judiciary.
