In terms of middle school teachers" pre-service training, the opinion that the normal university should increase the credit hours of specialized courses in education substantially is impractical and unreasonable. One of the most important criterions to evaluate the rationality of specialized courses in education provided by the normal university is that, whether it can meet the most important job requirements of teachers, namely, learning to teach, design school-based curriculum, act as a good tutor for the whole class, evaluate the student's learning and inquiry into problems encountered. Another criterion is that whether it embodies the reasonable division of pre-service and in-service teacher education or not. The valid pre-service teacher education should pursue a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge, general education knowledge and disciplinary knowledge, education knowledge's acquisition and its application, emotion and cognition on the teacher vocation. Finally, in order to promote the courses in education of the normal university, the main reform task at present is to adjust the core learning domain and optimize the curricular modules according to the teacher's job requirements.
