The main teaching objectives of extensive reading course and intensive reading course should not be inverted. Extensive reading is aimed at training students' reading ability and thinking ability. It can help students deepen their knowledge about Japanese language, improve their writing ability and enrich their knowledge about Japanese society and culture. Therefore, extensive reading course should be given an important position in curriculum system of Japanese teaching.
