以文化人类学为理论支撑，以社会变迁与文化生态为研究视角，以海盐滚灯为调查个案，对由传统走向现代的吴越民俗体育的传承方式、文化生态和保护方案进行了深入探究。研究表明，吴越民俗体育传统的民间自然流传方式已经面临传承危机，在保护“原生态”吴越民俗体育的基础上，注重对吴越民俗文化生态的整体性保护，从内容和功能上进行创新，以适应现代文化主体的需求，重塑区域文化主体的文化认同感，实现保护民俗体育文化遗产与推动新农村文化建设的双赢。
