族裔文学是相对主流文学而言的，族裔性作为族裔文学的根本属性是一种“差异”符号，在传播和接受过程中具有双重影响，它可以促进族裔文学的接受，也可以导致族裔文学的独白。美国华裔文学在美国的接受是伴随着“族裔性”减弱而进行的，而华裔文学在中国的接受却是一个“中国化”的过程，彰显了华裔文学的族裔性。尽管我国学者的“中国文化情结”深化了华裔文学的研究，但对的族裔性的过分关注却限制了华裔文学接受范围的扩大，这一现象值得关注。

Ethnic literature usually gains its recognition as opposed to the main-stream literature. Ethnicity, a sym- bol of difference, also the fundamental characteristic of ethnic literature, has influence on its distribution and recep- tion, and it may promote its reception or lead to its monologue. Reception of Chinese American literature in Ameri- ca goes with the weakening of ethnicity while its reception in China is a process of being localized, which highlights its ethnicity. It＇s true that Chinese scholars＇ ＂Chinese culture complex＂ has deepened Chinese American literary studies, too much attention on ethnicity, however, limits its reception range to a certain extent, which is worthy of note.
