三国干涉与“黄祸论”曾一度加重了日本的人种意识忧虑。当日俄战争临近，面对再度喧嚣的“黄祸论”，为避免引起列强的猜疑与干涉，日本极力在舆论和外交上消除“黄祸”的不利影响。但另一方面，像对俄军事活动中利用人种意识为其服务那样，继续通过宣扬“同种联合”论调对中国进行接近与渗透，无疑有利于其扩大和独霸在东亚的利益。日本这种针对东西方时呈现出的两面性人种意识，在随后的对外侵略扩张中多次体现，成为其战败前实用主义外交思想的一个重要特征。

Interference by three countries and ＂Yellow Peril＂ aggravated Japanese worries of race consciousness. In face of approaching Russo-Japanese War and ＂Yellow Peril＂ boiling again,Japan made an utmost effort to eliminate the adverse effects of ＂Yellow Peril＂ to avoid the suspicion and interference by foreign powers. Like the use of race consciousness during the Russo-Japanese War,Japan＇s infiltration into China under the ＂same race same language＂ slogan is undoubtedly beneficial to expand and dominate its interests in China. Japanese double standard in race consciousness was repeatedly reflected in the subsequent aggression and expansion, and was an important feature of its pragmatic diplomatic thinking before the end of World War Ⅱ.
