少数民族传统体育是学界一直关注的领域之一，相关研究呈现出了多视角、多维度、多理论支撑和多学科交叉的态势。兰德尔·柯林斯从微观社会学角度研究社会学问题，提出了互动仪式链理论。该理论中的部分内容有助于从新的角度解释少数民族传统体育发展过程中的诸多问题，探讨分析少数民族传统体育的本质、存续的动因、消亡的本质原因。研究认为，少数民族传统体育在本质上只是一种仪式性的身体活动，情感能量获取是其存续的根本动因，沉降是少数民族传统体育日渐式微的本质原因。

Traditional minority national sports is one of the hot issue in the field of academia, the related research has been presented the trends of the multiple points of view,multi-dimensional, more theory support and multidisciplinary cross. Randall Collins reserched the sociological problems from the perspective of microscopic sociology and proposed the interaction ritual chains theory. The author thinks that many problems of traditional minority national sports can be explained by the interaction ritual chains theory from a new angle. The author analyzed the essence of the traditional minority national sports, the motivation, the essence reason of the demise. Through the study, the author thinks that traditional minority national sports is a kind of ritual of physical activity in essence, emotional energy is the ultimate cause of the surviving and the subsidence is the essence reason of traditional minority national sports declining.
