The name of higher educational institutions is an intangible asset which is of particular signifi cance and great value. Trademark registration of university names also has vital significance in market e conomy conditions. Among 69 colleges and universities with enrollment qualification in the GuangxiZhuang Autonomous Region, problems still exist such as low number, distribution imbalance, less cate gories and more invalid trademarks. It is imperative for all institutions to make differentiation strategy in accordance with value identification discrepancy, then promote management of university names, and thus carry out cultural construction.
