In information technology teaching, students' bases are different and big gaps exist in terns of receptive abilities. Hierarchical teaching research of information technology course based on particle swarm optimization can take advantage of the optimization of intelligent classification to classify students of differ ent levels and give them classified and hierarchical teaching and evaluation. An analysis of data and prac tice shows that this method not only makes the students active and initiative but also improves teaching quality.
