美国是中国改革开放后留学生的主要目的地之一，积聚了大量各行各业的人才。由于中国留美科技人才是中国海外科技人才的主体，美国也是中国留学生高层次人才最集中的国家，在美留学科技人才的回流对于中国发展所发挥的作用引人注目，他们是中国经济与社会发展的重要力量。
美國是中國改革開放後留學生的主要目的地之一，積聚瞭大量各行各業的人纔。由于中國留美科技人纔是中國海外科技人纔的主體，美國也是中國留學生高層次人纔最集中的國傢，在美留學科技人纔的迴流對于中國髮展所髮揮的作用引人註目，他們是中國經濟與社會髮展的重要力量。
미국시중국개혁개방후류학생적주요목적지지일，적취료대량각행각업적인재。유우중국류미과기인재시중국해외과기인재적주체，미국야시중국류학생고층차인재최집중적국가，재미류학과기인재적회류대우중국발전소발휘적작용인인주목，타문시중국경제여사회발전적중요역량。
In the beginning of 1979, China sent their ＂best and brightest＂ to the United States, which triggered a ＂brain drain＂ in the same situation as many developing coun tries, and the return rate of those who received degrees in the USA was very low for a long time. Because of China＇s efforts to encourage people trained overseas to return and work in China, the dramatic increase in the number of return has emerged since 2000. The returnees are playing important roles in improving science and technology in China. This article tries to make a deep understanding of interactions with China through discus sing the roles of returnees.
