国家西部大开发政策的实施，进一步加快了西部民族牧区城镇化进程，新疆城镇化大幕拉开。哈萨克族作为游牧民族，在进入城镇定居后，其民族传统体育文化的形式和内容也面临着改变。通过对新疆哈萨克族传统体育文化发展的特征进行考证，探讨城镇化进程中新疆哈萨克族传统体育文化传承的路径和方向。新疆城镇化的推进已经是不可阻挡的潮流，深入渗透到各区域的各个角落。哈萨克族拥有丰富的传统体育资源，民族体育文化多姿多彩，既表现出新疆少数民族传统体育项目的共性，如赛马、摔跤等，又具有本民族最具特色的项目，如“姑娘追”等。从传承和发展新疆哈萨克族传统体育的视角来看，这在某种程度上是维护和实现少数民族的发展权。

The promotion of China＇s western development quickens the process of urbanization of western minority pastoral areas. It begins a new era of urbanization in Xinjiang. The Kazak people, as a nomadic people,their forms and contents of traditional sports culture of are changing after their settlement. Through analyzing the features of Kazak traditional sports culture, this paper intends to explore the routes and ways of inheritance of Kazak traditional sports culture. The process of urbanization of Xinjiang is inevitable and it penetrates to every corner. The Kazak people are endowed with an abundance of sports resources and its traditional sports are varied and colorful. They not only have some common characteristics of minority sports culture but also have some special features of the people, such as ＂horse racing＂, ＂wrestling＂ and ＂girl chasing＂ respectively. From the perspective of inheritance and development of Kazak traditional sports culture, in some degree it is to protect and realize the right of development of the minorities.
