The social view, national view and the theory of Marx and Engels about Society-State Relationship are all core content and key link in the theoretical logic under the theme of human liberation and development. Historical materialism attributes social history to development history of human. State and society in the view of Marx and Engels are state and society of human, and the relationship between state and society is the reflection of human condition. Characteristics and survival of state are related to the level of economic and social development. Bourgeois state dissimilates into parasitic neoplasm and is bound to be replaced; the proletarian dictatorship during the transitional period should try its best to eliminate the evil of the old state power and become a genuine democratic state power. State will eventually die out along with social development, which will return social rights to society, make society community of free individuals, and let everyone be individual of free and full development. These thoughts and theories have guiding significance for the construction of new state and new society in the process of China's modernization. We should stick to the method of historical materialism and the principles of human- oriented and society priority, actively promote the socialization of state power and the democratization and legalization of society.
