基于“完善和发展中国特色社会主义制度．推进国家治理体系和治理能力现代化”的宏观背景和我国民办高等教育独特的发展阶段和使命，民办高等教育应加快管理转型，从单向管理走向多元治理。贯彻治理理念、加强顶层设计、加大政策力度、加快发展转型．是当前我国民办高等教育从管理走向治理的关键环节。

Under the macro background of the improvement and development of China characteristic socialist system to promote the modernization of national governance system and enhance the management capacity, considering the unique development phase and the mission of private higher education in China, private higher education needs to accelerate the management transformation, from one dimensional management to multidimensional governance. Implementing the idea of governance, strengthening the design on the top level, reinforcing the power of policy, speeding up the transformation of development are the key elements which contribute to the process, in which the management of private higher education in China is moving into governance.
