生态危机是当今人类社会共同面对的重大问题。技术进步具有二重性,即技术进步一方面成为推动生产力发展和社会进步的巨大动力,另一方面又对人类的生存发展带来了不可逆的、无法克服的生态危机。主流的或者说非生态的技术进步观将重点聚焦在技术效率上而将环境变量、生态变量排除在外,因而不可避免地会导致技术进步同时伴随着生态环境破坏,在累积和放大机制的作用下最终造成生态危机。技术进步的生态逻辑就是在技术进步函数中嵌入一个生态函数或环境函数,也就是将技术进步生态目标内生化,从而建立一种通过技术进步解决生态危机的逻辑。

Ecological crisis is one of the most important issues the human society faces. On the ecological crisis explanation, one view says that the root cause of ecosystem crisis is the technical rationality or worship of technology. Another view thinks that technology is no more than a mean of transforming the nature of human beings and the technological progress utilized by capitalism is indeed the culprit causing the ecological crisis. Non-ecological technology progress view focuses on technical efficiency, but excludes the environment variables and ecological variables, which will inevitably lead to the destruction of the ecological environment along with the technological progress. The accumulation and amplification mechanism will finally result in the ecological cri- sis. Ecological logic of technology progress is to embed an ecological function or an environmental function in the technology progress function, which is also within ecological objectives of the technology progress so as to establish a logic of solving the ecological crisis through technological progress.
