本研究检索了中英学生语料库中立场短语的使用种类和频率特征并分析了其语用差异。研究结果表明:我国学生使用的立场短语种类少于本族语学生,但却存在过度依赖短语陈述态度观点的倾向;中国学生在能力/可能短语和模糊短语的使用中呈现出少用倾向;而在认知、评价、意图/意愿和义务/一令短语使用中表现出过用的特征;中国学生的书面语存在过用第一人称指向短语和口语化短语等特点。文章深入探讨了上述现象的原因和语用差异。本研究发现可以为英语课程设计、教材编写和英语写作课程教学实践提供借鉴和参考。

The study concordances the type and frequency of stance phrases in Chinese and British academic writing corpora and analyzes their pragmatic differences. The results show that Chinese students employ fewer types of stance phrases than British students and the standardized frequency of the overall phases employed by Chinese students is significantly higher than that of their British peers, indicating that Chinese students tend to over-rely on phrases to express view and attitude. Chinese students have a tendency to underuse ability/possibility and hedge phrases, and overuse epistemic, evaluation, intention/voli- tion, obligation and directive phrases. Chinese students are also found to overuse personalized forms and colloquial phrases in written texts. The reasons and pragmatic features of the above phenomena are explored in results and discussion in depth. The findings could provide some insight for English curriculum design, textbook compilation, English teaching and academic writ- ing instruction to Chinese students.
