发展取向的民族认同理论认为,3~12岁儿童的民族认同发展是分阶段的,每个阶段都有着里程碑式的关键事件。在此理论的指导下,国外的相关研究采用“娃娃研究范式”及其变式等研究方法,深入考察了儿童民族认同发展过程中的意识、自我认同和态度等三个核心要素。这一理论及其研究范式对中国少数民族儿童的民族认同研究具有启发和借鉴意义。

The development ethnic identity theory suggests that the ethnic identity development of children from 3 to 12 years is staged, and each stage has landmark and critical events. Under the guidance of this theory and adopting the research methods of "doll research paradigm" and its variants, foreign related research found that there are three core elements including consciousness, self- identity and attitude in the development process of ehildren's ethnic identity. This theory and its research paradigm are of inspiration and significance to the study of ethnic identity of China's minority children.
