本研究试图探讨英文数字对中国大学生时间知觉的影响。在实验中,会首先给被试呈现300ms的标准刺激,随后给被试呈现一个呈现时间为250ms~350ms之间的目标刺激,两种刺激是中文或英文数字,被试需要比较标准刺激与目标刺激呈现时间之间的长短关系,并根据这一长短关系进行按键反应。结果显示,如果英文数字是被试所熟悉的,那么被试会低估较小数字的呈现时间并高估较大数字的呈现时间,表明被试熟悉的英文数字可以对被试的时间知觉产生影响。

This study attempts to explore the effect of English number on the perceived time of Chinese college students. In the experiment, the subjects were first presented a standard stimulus of 300ms, then a target one between 250ms -350ms, both of which were Chinese or English numbers. They were required to compare the presentation time between the two stimuli and to push the button accordingly. The result showed that if the participants are familiar with the English numbers, they will underesti- mate the presentation time of small numbers but overestimate large ones, showing that acquainted English numbers can have an impact on the subjects'perception of time.
