研究教育现象的基本范畴,有人为抽象方法论和自然生成方法论两种基本的类别。历史唯物主义是一种科学的人为抽象方法论,这种方法论对教育现象范畴具有认识起点科学、认识过程合理、认识步骤明晰的特点。运用这种方法论对教育现象的范畴进行研究发现,教育现象由教育活动、教育体制、教育机制和教育观念四个基本范畴组成。应用四个范畴的应然逻辑,可以建构以教育活动、教育体制、教育机制和教育观念为基本范畴的新教育学逻辑体系,也可以厘清教育改革的思路。另外,可以从社会活动、社会体制、社会机制和社会观念四个范畴来认识整个社会现象,也可以按这四大范畴的应然逻辑所体现的思路来推进整个社会的改革,还可以从活动、体制、机制和观念四个范畴去认识相关社会科学所研究的社会现象,从而建构这些学科的学科范畴体系。

There are two basic types of the basic categories of educational phenomena: abstracted methodology and naturally-generating methodology. The historical materialism is a kind of scientific abstracted methodology. For educational phenomena, the methodology of historical materialism has the characteristics of scientific cognitive origin, rational cognitive process and definite cognitive steps. To research the categories of educational phenomena with this kind of methodology indicates that the educational phenomena consist of educational activity, educational system, educational mechanism and educational idea. Using the ought-to-be logic of the four categories, a new logical system of education, taking educational activity, educational system, educational mechanism, and educational idea as basic categories, can be constituted; and the thought of educational reform can be clarified clearly and scientifically. Furthermore, the four categories of social activity, social system, social mechanism and social idea contribute to recognizing the whole social phenomena and promoting the reform of the whole society. The four categories of social activity, social system, social mechanism and social idea also contribute to recognizing all the social phenomena of social sciences so as to build the category system of all these disciplines.
