从20世纪80年代起,中国古代文学研究领域开始发生语言学转向,各种语言学批评方法被广泛引入。语言学批评区别于此前的外部研究,转而立足于回归文本自身,从而提供了内部研究的新视角,并催生了一系列研究成果。然而,在古代文学研究的内、外之争中,语言学批评同样暴露出自身的缺陷和硬伤。正是在此背景下,经过国内学者重新阐释的本土化文化诗学理论为古代文学研究提供了新的研究视角,一定程度上消解了外部研究与内部研究、文化研究与语言学研究之间的矛盾。文化诗学由此成为古代文学研究领域内语言学转向的新视域。

Since early 1980s, linguistic turn has started to enter into the study of ancient Chinese liter- ature, with various linguistic criticism approaches widely applied to the field. Unlike previous external research, linguistic criticism, based on the return to the text itself, provides a new perspective of in- ternal research, which spawns a series of research results. However, amidst the debates between inside research and outside research on ancient Chinese literature, linguistic criticism also reveals its deficiencies and flaws. In this context, the localized cultural poetics reinterpreted by domestic scholars provides a new study vision. In a way, it can ease the contradiction between inside research and outside research and that between cultural studies and linguistics studies. Cultural poetics thus becomes a new perspective of the linguistic turn in ancient literary studies.
