国家形象是国家软实力的重要组成部分，良好的国家形象可以营造对本国发展有利的外部环境。在全球化视角下，体育已经成为构建和展现国家形象的重要途径，实践证明大型体育赛事提升我国的国际地位，民族传统体育彰显中华文化魅力，体育明星树立中国人的新形象。体育具有全球性的影响力，拓宽体育文化对外传播路径、发掘民族传统体育的普世价值、提升体育文化的战略地位、正视体育发展中存在的问题是体育塑造我国国家形象的发展策略。

National image is an important constituent part of a nation’s soft power; a nice national image can create an external development environment favorable to the nation. From the perspective of globalization, sport has become an important way to build and spread national images; major sports events have promoted China’s international status, tra-ditional national sport has highlighted the charm of Chinese culture; sports stars have established new images of the Chinese. Sport has global influence, hence, broadening ways for sports culture to spread outward, exploring the uni-versal value of traditional national sports, promoting the strategic status of sports culture, and facing up to problems ex-isting in sports development, will be development strategies for sport to shape China’s national image.
