Land subsidence induced by groundwater exploitation can cause significant deformation in the subgrade of high-speed railway tracks, and so threaten the safety of train operations. To study the process of subgrade subsidence associated with groundwater exploitation near high-speed railway lines, a 3D lfuid-solid coupling model was created based on the inifltrating solidiifcation theory and using the ifnite element software ABAQUS. Subgrade deformation caused by various pumping rates and distances was analyzed. The results show that pumping output and pumping distance both have a signiifcant inlfuence on the deformation of the subgrade of high-speed railway lines. Under certain pumping output conditions, deformation of the subgrade decreases with an increase in pumping distance; however, at certain pumping distances, subgrade deformation increases with increasing output. Therefore, to control the influence of groundwater exploitation on the subgrade, no new wel s should be developed near the railway, and groundwater exploitation should be strictly limited within the area that affects the track.
