高校是文化发源地、传承地，更是先进文化的重要阵地。在现代体育为主体的高校体育教育过程中融入民族传统体育教育，把它贯穿于大学体育的教学、竞赛和训练中，对大学生认识和了解博大精深的民族体育文化，发扬和传承民族传统文化，树立民族自信心与自豪感，增强民族凝聚力和加强民族团结有积极的作用。在基于文化传承的理念下深入调查和分析我国高校民族传统体育在高校体育教学、体育竞赛和高水平运动队建设等方面的开展情况，发现民族传统体育在高校所遭遇的瓶颈问题并提出相应对策。

Institution of higher education is a source place of culture and shoulders the responsibility of passing advanced culture. In college physical education in which modern sports is the main body,the fusion of national traditional sports education into the collegiate sports teaching,competition and training plays a positive role in helping college students understand the broad and profound national sports culture,inherit and develop traditional ethnic culture, establish national self - confidence and pride,enhance national cohesion and strengthen the national unity. Based on the concept of cultural heritage,an in - depth investigation and analysis was made on the development situation of national traditional sports in collegiate physical education,sports competition and the construction of high level sports teams. The bottleneck was found out for development of national traditional sports in colleges and some prospects were put forward.
