语篇组织理论多聚焦于表达命题内容的概念意义,对于作为核心人际意义的评价资源重视不够。评价的组篇功能取决于哪些相关因素?本文试从评价对象、评价类型以及评价处所三个方面展开探讨。文章认为评价对象的实体和命题之分有助于揭示语篇不同层面的人际意义发展脉络,显性评价和隐性评价两种不同评价类型之间的互动促进语篇的展开,篇首篇末或者段首段末的显性评价资源表现出较强的语篇统摄力,能将其评价潜势覆盖至语篇其它部分,从而参与组篇。

Discourse organization research has chiefly focused on ideational meanings that express propositional con- tent, thus paying insufficient attention to evaluative resources that serve as the core of interpersonal meanings in text. What are relevant factors for evaluation in organizing discourse? This is explored in three aspects: evaluated entities, evaluation type, and evaluative locus. This paper maintains that interpersonal threads on different planes of discourse can be revealed by the employment of an entity-proposition distinction within evaluated entities. Text development can also be facilitated by more, explicit evaluation located at the the interaction between explicit evaluation and implicit evaluation. Further- beginning or at the end of the text or paragraph is endowed with great power in organizing discourse, for it can propagate its evaluative potential in the rest of the text.
