桐乡汪氏是清代重要的词学世家。汪森是清初浙西词派的重要成员,在他周围还形成了一个以华及堂六客为代表的文人群体。他不但协助朱彝尊编成《词综》一书,而且对浙派词学理论的建设贡献极大,提出了尊词体和宗南宋的审美主张。正是在他的影响下,他的孙辈汪筠、汪孟、汪仲鈖等发展了他的词学思想,并促成了汪氏词人群体的形成。

Tongxiang Wangs is the important family of Ci in the Qing dynasty. A literati group represented by the Six Scholars of Huaji Hall （华及堂）is formed under the influence of WANG Sen（汪森）, who is an important member of Zhexi （West Zhejiang） Ci School in the early Qing Dynasty. Not only does WANG Sen assist ZHU Yi-zun in compiling the book of An Anthology of Ci （Ci Zong）, regard but also he plays a vital to the genre of ci and em role in developing the theory of Zhexi Ci School, advocating higher ulating the style of the Southern Song Dynasty. It is also under his influence that WANG Yun, WANG Meng-xuan, WANG Zhong-fen et al further develop his ci theory, thus bringing the poetic group with the Wangs as the nucleus into existence.
