太平天国定都天京以后的最初两年为癸好年、甲寅年,简称癸甲。这期间,太平天国的政局不断地发生着变化,整个政局演变的态势就是东王的集权,从东王、北王各主其事,到东王、北王共主军政,再到东王分取北王权力委诸翼王等人,最后形成军政大权均集中到东王的权力格局,并基本稳定下来。其后不到两年,这种权力格局就导致了天京事变。追求集权的东王和显露权力野心的北王都在事变中葬送了自己。葬送自己是集权者和权力野心家的最终命运。以东王为中心,探讨太平天国癸甲政局的演变是有意义的。

After the TaiPing Heaventy Kingdom took Tianjing as their capital city,the first two years were separately named as the year of Guihao and the year of Jiayin,simply called Guijia years.During those years political situations changed toward the centralization of power by the East King.Initially the East King and the North King performed their duties separately in their own domains.Then it became joint administration of military and civil affairs by them,later on the East King seized the North King＇s Power and granted it to the Yi King,finally both military and political powers were grasped in the East King＇s hands.In less than two years this situation led to the Tianjing Incident.Both the East King who pursued centralizing more powers in his hands and the North King who exposed his political ambition lost their own lives in the Incident.Destroying themselves are the unavoidable result for those who seek centralizing powers and ambitious politician.
