古典小说中转述语的差异,可以反映出叙述者立场的差异。就叙事伦理而言,四种转述语都可以从伦理陈述的角度加以理解：直接引语直接显示了叙述者对人物的伦理引用,自由直接引语使人物伦理和叙述者伦理混合在一起,间接引语体现出叙述者伦理控制人物伦理,自由间接引语则意味着叙述者伦理淹没人物伦理。四种转述语在古典小说中有不同形式的具体表现。

Differences of the reported speech in classic novels can reflect differences of the narrator＇s position.As for the narrative ethics,the four reported speeches can all be understood from the perspective of ethical expression,direct speech directly shows the narrator＇s references of the character＇s ethics,and this kind of free direct speech can make the character＇s ethics and the narrator＇s ethics mixed together.However,indirect speech reflects the narrator＇s ethical control to the character＇s ethics.Therefore,free indirect speech means the narrator＇s ethics overrides the character＇s ethics.And there are different kinds of specific performance of those four kinds of reported speech in different forms of classic novels.
