柯南道尔的《福尔摩斯探案集》中的福尔摩斯的行为时刻表达着对个人价值的肯定，选择人性的视角理解个人与社会的关系，凸显着强烈的个体意识。而程小青的《霍桑探案》则是将霍桑作为社会道德观念的承载者和维护者，主人公的个人价值是以对集体的依附作为实现条件的。两者的侦探小说在社会视角的选择、办案动机与方式的区分、法律与正义关系的处理、叙事时空的安排、人物类型的设置等方面，有许多显著的不同之处，这种泾渭分明的区别反映出东西方文化观念之间存在的深刻差异。

The behaviors of the protagonist always express recognition with the individual value,choose the perspective of human for understanding of the relationship between the individual and society and highlighting the strong individual con-sciousness in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes by Arthur Conan Doyle.But The detective story of Huosang by Cheng Xiaoqing considers Huosang as carrier and maintainer of social morality.The protagonist＆#39;s personal value is attachment as a condition of implementation of the collective.Their detective novel in the selection of social perspective,difference of working motivation and ways,the treatment of relationship between law and j ustice,arrangement of narrative time and space,the character type setting both have many significant differences.The distinct difference reflects the profound differences between east and west cultural concept.
