This article outlines the current methanol automobile industry development status in China , summed up the main factors influencing the development of methanol automotive industry ,such as trends in demand for vehicles, the fuel source of stability and its economy , methanol-fueled engine and vehicle adaptation technologies , energy efficiency and environmental protection , and further discussion of the current problems on industrialization development of methanol vehicles in China .On this basis , combined with China ’ s current situation of alternative fuel vehicles in the transportation sector characteristics and methanol automobile industry regional development , enhancing China ’ s automobile industry development countermeasures and suggestions .
